Alternative Telegram OTP
Telegram OTP delivers verification codes over Telegram at a flat worldwide rate, for markets where SMS is costly or unreliable. Integrate with otp.com.
Telegram OTP delivers the code over Telegram instead of the mobile network, which makes it useful in markets where Telegram is the default messenger and where SMS is expensive or unreliable. Unlike SMS and WhatsApp it is one flat rate everywhere, so the destination does not move the price.
You never name a channel on a send: routing picks it from the recipient and your channel order. See Channels & routing for how that decision is made.
When to Use Telegram OTP
Where it fits
- Flat rate in every country, independent of operator pricing
- Delivered over data, so it reaches users with poor SMS deliverability
- Strong fit for markets and communities where Telegram is the primary messenger
Worth knowing
- Reaches only users who are on Telegram, so it works best with SMS behind it in your order
- Priced above Email, the other flat-rate channel
Telegram OTP Pricing
$0.0120 per verification sent, the same in every country, because the code travels over the internet rather than a mobile operator's network. One charge per code, whatever the user does next.
Compare every channel and country, and estimate a monthly cost, on the pricing page.
